The eighth, and most recent, climbing vine I bought was a 150 yen variegated Edo morning glory. The flowers are red, and the two colored leaves add variety to the green curtain. It’s not too late to get one started this summer.
The Edo morning glory doesn’t have a long season like the perennial Okinawa version. You can see this bloom is already starting to wither.
This Edo morning glory vine is much more delicate and slower-growing than the Okinawa one. I like how twisted and wrapped up the bud is.
